New Mills Knife Crime Awareness

This week we have been taking part in a range of activities as part of Operation Sceptre - the national fight against knife crime.

Today PCSO Bardsley from the local Safer Neighbourhood Team has been out and about in New Mills - she conducted a knife sweep in High Lea Park, St Georges Cemetery, the Community Orchard and Newtown Recreation Ground. No knives were found during the search

She also visited local retailers to remind them of their responsibilities regarding the sale of knives
