Motorbike Thefts

Good Afternoon,

I am just emailing to give out some crime prevention advise regarding motorbikes. With the ongoing issue that we are having currently regarding theft of motor vehicles. If you do currently own a motor vehicle then we try and persuade people to make sure that these are locked over night using a bike lock to reduce the chances of them being taken.

We also are telling people if motorbikes can be kept in a garage then this is also ideal so that they aren't out of show during hours of darkness.

If you do have CCTV that is also a good prevention technique to have because if the offenders do see that CCTV is in operation then it also reduces the risk of the motor vehicle being taken.

If you have any questions then feel free to get in contact with me via my email: luke.andrews@derbyshire.police.uk

Many thanks,
