New Mills Knife Amnesty Bin - 15th May 2024

Op Sceptre is a NATIONAL week long initiative to tackle knife crime.

Officers from the local Safer Neighbourhood Team will be located at the Promenade, New Mills as part of Knife Crime awareness week. (should it rain we will be located in the entrance to Sainsburys)

A knife amnesty bin will be available, which gives residents the opportunity to surrender any unwanted knives, to help keep them off the streets and possibly falling into the wrong hands.

As your local Safer Neighbourhood Team we would like to have your input, we will be using our police systems to look at data to see what the top priorities should be, and we want to know as a community what you would like us to prioritise, this could be anything that's a problem in your area such as antisocial behaviour / speeding.
