Knife Crime Awareness Week

A busy day full of Op Sceptre for the team today!

PCSOs Smith and Gregson started off at Springwood Park for a knife sweep, joined by our local Public Protection Officers and ASB Officers from Derby Homes.

PCs Gunn, Hood and Middleton-Rees then joined us for another knife sweep at the Racecourse, joined again by Public Protection Officers and local councillors.

PCSOs Smith and Gregson then held a pop up event at Oakwood District Centre and spoke to locals about the dangers of knife crime and the new legislation surrounding it.

PCSO Gregson also attended a community meeting about parking issues around some of our primary schools around Chaddesden and how we can tackle these issues.

PC Middleton-Rees then also managed to arrest a wanted male in the Chaddesden area.

More to come tomorrow!
