Weekend patrols

Last weekend was a busy one for the team!

PCSOs Nugent and Leverington attended the summer fair at The Royal School for the Deaf on Ashbourne Road, setting a pop-up scene for the children to come and investigate; the children were able to try on different items of police uniform before testing their road safety skills with our activity booklets. (PCSO Nugent even got to ride in the miniature fire engine!)

Following from that; on Sunday PCSO Nugent joined up with PCSO Blackmore to support at the Caribbean Carnival in which the amazing parade made it's way through the City Centre, up into Normanton and down Osmaston Road. At the carnival, the PCSO's caught up with our Police Crime Commissioner, Nicolle Ndiweni-Roberts and spoke with her regarding issues both in Mackworth and New Zealand, but also in the City Centre.
