Getting to the point – the consequences of carrying knives...
Carrying a knife and using it can lead to serious injuries and, even worse sadly, people losing their lives.
Despite what people may say there is no ‘safe place’ to be stabbed – a wound in the arm or leg can still kill as much as being stabbed in the heart, and people have died due to an artery being severed. Even if it does not kill the person, it can leave that person with a life changing disability – which effects the rest of their life. As well as having a negative mental impact, even for those who weren’t directly involved.
However, the effects are much more widespread, even if there are no injuries, which will be covered in the next post.
Did you know...
🔪 That 7 out of 10 people carrying a knife will have that knife used against them. 🔪 Knives are the most common weapons used in the killing of young people. 🔪 Most people will state ‘I was there but I didn’t stab the person who got killed, so I won’t get in trouble’ – this isn’t untrue. Under joint enterprise you can be charged with the same crimes as the person who did the stabbing if you were there.
