PCC welcomes sweeping reduction in ASB thanks to ‘hotspot' patrols


Nicolle has praised the work of police officers after the latest figures show anti-social behaviour in ‘hotspot areas’ has fallen by 20% in 12 months.

Last year, 20 locations were chosen to benefit from extra enforcement patrols to tackle anti-social behaviour. Since then, it has delivered:

• An extra 6,512 patrols

• 657 referrals through the Immediate Justice scheme

• 79% of those referred did not reoffend.
