Auto crime patrols

PC’s Harvey and Bennett have been conducting patrols throughout the night, completing intelligence led searches for nominals known for committing thefts.

Sometimes we don’t have to find them, they find us.

This little Citroen needed no intelligence marker and presented itself to the officers, travelling from South Derbyshire towards the A6, swerving all over 2 lanes right in front of a marked car.

Vehicle stopped and driver found to be considerably over the drink drive limit but refusing to provide.

Another one off to custody and charged to court.

A different vehicle was seen by patrolling SNT lurking around Melbourne in the early hours.

Both the driver and passenger give different accounts of what they are up to, where they have come from and supposed to be going.

Both are searched for going equipped, with the vehicle suspected to be a ‘pool car’ with no documents, seized for the crusher.
