Youth Engagement visits to The Hang Out Club , Gamesley

Glossop SNT - Youth Enagement

PCSO Buller from Glossop YET (Youth Engagement Team) called in on ‘The Hangout Club’, held at the Gamesley Community Centre, Melandra Castle Road, Gamesley, on  Monday 27th January. To engage with the volunteers and young people there at the youth club - specifically for the ages 7 -11.

The team returned to the ‘Hang Out Club’ this evening, Wednesday 29th January, and our aim was once again to engage and chat this time with the older group of young people, specifically the ages  11 - 17.

During the visit tonight we took the opportunity to complete Derbyshire Talking Youth Surveys with some of the young people there.

By visiting and engaging with young people within our local communities, allows the team to break down any percieved barriers about the Police. It also helps to obtain their views and concerns incluidng how they feel and any issues they may have.
