Cannabis Cultivation located

🚨 Cannabis Cultivation located 🚨

During proactive patrols in Swadlincote, SNT officers have uncovered a significant cannabis cultivation site after suspecting a property had been broken into.

Officers gained entry and a search of the property revealed a large number of rooms and cellar converted to growing cannabis plant.

As you may know, this has caused significant disruption to the Burton Road area due to dangerous electric bypasses. This has required the street to be dug up and made safe by power companies which has in turn caused major traffic issues on the junction of Burton Road and Midway Road.

This discovery highlights our ongoing efforts to disrupt illegal drug activity in our community. Cannabis cultivations are often linked to serious organised crime gangs and other serious offences, putting our neighbourhoods at risk.

We have commenced an investigation with detectives from CID and we would like to thank the community for their support .
Can we ask that if anyone has any footage or dashcam from 14th Jan 2025 at around 22:00 - 2215 hours to please contact us on 101 or via online contact.
If you notice suspicious activity, such as covered windows, strong odours, or unusual comings and goings, please report it anonymously via Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111 or contact SNT directly or via 101
