speed watch and parking patrols in Chinley

Following on from complaints regarding parking & speeding around Chinley Primary school we have been working with the school, local councillors & the Chinley speed watch team!

This morning, local volunteers from Chinley Speed Watch conducted a speed watch session at school drop off time.

Our goal is to ensure the safety of children walking to and from school, alongside other road users passing through the area.

PCSO Green also attended the session and was able to monitor parking around the school, as a result of the combined work,   1 vehicle will be receiving a letter in the post regarding speeding.

The new signage outside the school looks great & is a great reminder to drivers.

Patrols and speed checks will continue around local primary schools within the High Peak to ensure the safety of our children.

We kindly ask for the community's cooperation in making this area a safe environment for pedestrians and all road users - WATCH YOUR SPEED & THINK ABOUT WHERE YOU PARK!
