Over the past few weeks, our team has been actively involved in a variety of incidents, ensuring the safety and well-being of the community. 🏠 Property Eviction & Safeguarding. We recently assisted with the eviction of a property in Shirebrook, working closely with housing associations following concerns raised. During this operation, we successfully safeguarded a child who was found alone at the property. Additionally, officers seized a quantity of cannabis discovered on the premises. 📞Hoax and Malicious Calls. In the last month, we have received several hoax or malicious calls. These calls divert valuable resources away from genuine emergencies, potentially putting the public at risk. We are currently collaborating with mobile network providers to trace the source of these calls. Preliminary investigations suggest that a child or teenager may be responsible, and once identified, the individual will be interviewed regarding the incidents. ✅ Support for Vulnerable Victims. Our team has been conducting follow-up visits to vulnerable victims of crime, providing safeguarding advice, personal security items, and education on how to stay safe. Ensuring the protection and confidence of those most at risk remains a priority for us. 🅿 Parking Concerns. Inconsiderate and dangerous parking, particularly around schools, continues to be an issue. Officers have been patrolling these areas and issuing warnings to those parking inappropriately. Over the coming weeks and months, we will be increasing enforcement where necessary. While our primary aim is to educate and encourage safer parking, we will issue fines where needed, some of which may carry penalty points. 🤝🏽 We appreciate the community's cooperation in keeping our area safe.
