We have set out the community engagements for March 2025

Just a quick stat for the few wondering what Police are doing up on Tibshelf/Newton/Westhouses/Blackwell/Hilcote as regards to crime that's being dealt with and engagements being carried out so far

57 crimes were reported in December 2024 (this gets updated quarterly)

Crime type

Violence and sexual offences 27

Anti-social behaviour 9

Other crime 6

All other crime 15

Community engagements /School visits - 23 - so far in 2025

Community engagements are an opportunity for the community to come and meet the police team, report local issues or ask for support/advice around concerns. Our School visits are visited to promote good practice and support the staff around bullying, road safety, online security etc.

We work in partnership with numerous providers that we feel would also benefit the community including the district council, victim support and other local support groups

I look forward to catching up with you all this month especially seeing as the sun has threatened us with some nice weather so far
