Careers Event at Glossop Adult Centre for Pre Apprentice Group.

Glossop SNT - Careers Event 

PCSO Buller from Glossop YET (Youth Engagement Team) and PCSO Jones from Hadfield SNT had been invited to attend the Glossop Adult Centre, Talbot, Glossop to take part in a Career/Job Fair event held there today, Wednesday 5th March.  

A presentaion was given on ‘Is a role in the Police for you ?’ . to the students from the Pre Apprentice Group. who are aged between 14 and 19 -  They were also shown the ‘24/7’ video - About a day working for the Police in Derbsyshire. 

We discussed the skills required to be a Police Officer - Police Community Support Officer - Other Police Civilian Staff Roles

We explained that there are more than 3.700 staff employed by Derbyshire Constabulary - and that there are 465 different Police Staff Roles in Derbyshire Constabulary.

PCSO Jones and Buller explained what they enjoy the most and why they joined. 

Followed by some fantastic questions by the students.
