'Community Champions Event' at Glossopdale School, Hadfield - The Hummingbird Project.


Glossop SNT - Community Engagement 

 

The Hummingbird Project in Glossop have created a new project: ‘Glossopdale Community Champions’.

This will be an Annual awards ceremony to recognise and reward the fantastic volunteers and community champions from around this area. 

The first awards ceremony will take place at Glossopdale School, Newshaw Lane Hadfield, this evening, Thursday 27th March and starts at 6.15pm sharp. with a 40 minute break at 7.30pm. The event finishes at 9.30pm.

 

 

There are 14 Award categories this evening. 

Each Category has roughly 5 to 12 finalists per category (varying depending on the size of the category).

Each Categories will be announced one at a time Running Order on the Night: 

 

The order of the categories is as follows (subject to minor changes) – 

1. Arts Champion 

2. Health Champion 

3. Mental Health Champion 

4. Green Hero Award 

5. Unsung Hero Award - Specialist 

6. Unsung Hero Award - All Rounder

7. Junior Community Champion 

8. Youth Community Champion INTERMISSION (40 MINS) 

9. Outstanding Volunteer Award – Specialist 

10. Outstanding Volunteer Award – All Rounder 

11. Community Champion – Individual of the Year 

12. Community Group of the Year 

13. Mayor’s Lifetime Achievement Award

The event will finish at 9.30pm.

 

PCSO Buller from Glossop YET (Youth Engagement Team) is very honoured and proud to have be asked by Jo Gregory from the Hummingbird Project, Unit 3C, The Unit Surrey St, Glossop to present their'Junior' and 'Youth' Awards -  there are 3 age groups ranging from 5 to 21 years old with some amazing nominations.
