Speed checks over the weekend in High Peak (Snake Pass)

Glossop SNT - Speed Checks

Over this weekend, especially with the nice weather, our Safer Neighbourhood Team officers have been out in the Hope Valley doing extra speed checks, in total 10 motorists were caught speeding, with the highest being a motorcyclist doing 95mph on A57, Snake Pass.

With the summer months approaching our SNT teams will be focusing more on the Fatal 4 which are the four specific offences we attribute to a significant amount of fatal road traffic collisions.

The Fatal Four

+Not wearing a seatbelt
+Using a mobile phone whilst driving
+Exceeding the speed limit
+Driving under the influence of drink or drugs
