Stolen gates from Shardlow found and recovered.

Police received a report that a pair of handmade large iron gates were stolen from a property in Shardlow overnight 25th April into 26th.

Local SNT officers Pc’s Harvey and Bennett conducted CCTV and house to house enquiries in the location before being made aware that the gates were potentially at a scrap metal recycling facility in Derby. The officers attended the location and located the gates in the process of being weighed in.

Enquiries are ongoing, with the person weighing them in due to be interviewed.

The owner of the gates is extremely happy to have the items back.
