Community Patrols.

It was great for us at the City Centre team to be out and about in the community today talking to people and engaging with them during Operation Sceptre week.

We conducted patrols around various location such as St Peter's Street, Iron Gate and Albert Street and were giving advice and having some really positive discussions around knife crime as part of the national Operation Sceptre week.

The week highlights the work being done year round to tackle the issue of knife crime, and whilst we know, in Derbyshire, it is the minority of people who think carrying a knife is acceptable, we also understand the devastating consequences it can have when they do.

Thank you to everyone who spoke to us today. Together, we can encourage anyone thinking about carrying weapons to #DropTheKnife.
