School Patrols

Before the half term holiday PCSO Taylor and PCSO Greville met with members of Hilton Parish Council to address parking issues outside of the local schools.

Parents are reminded to drive carefully and park considerately around schools.

This is a problem seen at almost every school and whilst we understand that people are in a rush, this does NOT mean that you can park wherever you like - the rules still apply.

Aside from it being inconsiderate to nearby residents, it puts the children at risk. We have had reports of children almost being hit by cars whilst walking to the school gates. This is totally avoidable if people were to just park elsewhere.

If your child attends Hilton Primary School on Peacroft Lane, you are able to park in the village hall car parks and walk up. This would add a couple of minutes onto your day at most.

Patrols will continue at all schools in the area and any parking offences will be dealt with accordingly.
