Local Priorities Anti-social behaviour - General Update

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Anti-social behaviour - General, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

๐Ÿ‘ฎAnti-Social Behaviour Patrol Update๐Ÿ‘ฎ

Actions to tackle Anti-Social Behaviour and a problem solving and partnership approach has been implemented to continue on the work that Shirebrook Safer Neighbourhood Team and Bolsover District Council have been doing.

This work includes further breaches of the Public Spaces Protection Order tickets being issued since the last update, increased hi-visibility patrols, stop-searches and more on-going work behind the scenes.

Tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) involves a multi-faceted approach that includes early intervention, enforcement, and community engagement. Antisocial behaviour, while often involving non-criminal actions, can be considered a crime when it involves conduct that causes or is likely to cause harassment, alarm, or distress to others. You can report Anti-Social Behaviour in the following ways;

๐Ÿ’ป Online via Derbyshire Constabulary - https://www.derbyshire.police.uk/ro/report/asb/asb-v3/report-antisocial-behaviour/
๐Ÿ‘ค Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or https://crimestoppers-uk.org/
๐Ÿ‘‚ If you're hard of hearing or have a speech impairment, use the textphone service 18001 101 or text deafsms@derbyshire.pnn.police.uk
๐Ÿ“ž 101 for a non emergency
๐Ÿ“ž 999 for an emergency

Tackling antisocial behaviour can be a complex issue, and one which requires input and action from more than just the police.

The Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 aims to put victims first, giving power to local people and enabling professionals to find the best solutions for their local area.

The act provides the police, local authorities and other local agencies with flexible tools and powers that they can use to respond quickly and effectively to antisocial behaviour.

These include:

  • civil injunctions.
  • criminal behaviour orders.
  • public spaces protection orders.
  • community protection notices.
  • dispersal powers.
  • closure powers.

The act also includes measures such as the Community Remedy and antisocial behaviour case reviews which empower victims and communities to have a say in the outcome of their reports and hold agencies to account.

If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.derbyshire.police.uk/, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101.

Alternatively, you can stay 100 per cent anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
