Community Engagement at Gamelsey Community Centre - Thursday 7th August

Glossop SNT - Community Engagement

On Thursday, 7th August, Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) George from the Gamesley Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) visited the Gamesley Community Centre, located on Melandra Castle Road, Gamesley.

The purpose of her visit todya was to engage with the dedicated volunteers, children, parents, and caregivers participating in the ‘Stay & Play Board Game Café’.

This group gives vital support for parents and caregivers of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within the High Peak area.

The ‘Stay & Play Board Game Café’ is held every Thursday at the community centre throughout the summer holidays, commencing at 2:00 PM.

These events provide a valuable opportunity for parents to converse, seek support, and receive advice, while children can enjoy various activities.

Participants have access to toys, arts and crafts, board games, and a range of other engaging activities.
