Appeal for information launched following burglary of airsoft items in Derby |
||
|
We are appealing for information after a number of airsoft items were stolen from a home in Derby. The victims, a man and woman, were walking home from an evening out when they noticed the lights were on and the front door was open to their property in Sims Avenue, close to the city centre, at about 11.30pm on Monday 13 April. They discovered that a number of airsoft items and a mobile phone had been stolen. Some of the airsoft items were recovered by officers at the scene. Officers have made a number of enquiries and believe the burglary was committed between 11pm and 11.30pm by a group of two or three men all wearing dark clothing who were on electric bikes. A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been bailed with conditions pending further enquiries. We are appealing for anyone with information about the burglary to please come forward. Officers are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have dash cam, CCTV or Ring doorbell footage which covers the area and has not already spoken to officers. Information can be passed to us using one of the methods below and please quote incident number 26*208999. You can also anonymously contact the independent charity CrimeStoppers, on 0800 555 111, or by visiting the CrimeStoppers website.
