Did you know Glossop did maintain its own autonomous Police Force from 1866 - 1947 - before it was amalgamated into the Derbyshire County Constabulary in 1947.

Nostalic Old Photo 🖼️ A blast from the past.

Attached is a lovely (but sadly damaged)  photograph of Glossop Borough Police Force circa 1900, its an old photo we know but is there anybody out there who may be, or who are, able to help name those old Bobbies? a big ask!

▪️ Legend has it that there is similar type photo relating to the Police Station in Hadfield - the Police Station was located on Jones Street/Albert Street Hadfield. Any info about this too ?
