What have your local Safer Neighbourhood Team been up to during the shift.

PCSO Newitt this morning attended Derwent Primary school to monitor school parking. Then he was hosted a community pop up event today at Spondon Library and Springwood Library as part of Hate crime awareness week. PCSO Newitt was able to speak to local members of the public about any issues they had. Later he attended a number incidents during the rest of the shift.

PC Kearney and Sgt Scribbins have been out on patrol when then came across an American Police car in Oakwood. The owner takes it to a number of events all over, its not something you see everyday around Oakwood. Later on they pulled over a vehicle and spoken to the driver who was using the vehicle for delivering and not having the correct business insurance. Vehicle was then seized under section 165 no insurance.

Later on during the shift our other Police Officers from Chaddesden SNT assisted our Traffic colleagues who were in a failed to stop pursuit. They sprung into action and was able to get to suitable location ready to deploy the stinger. Safe to say they did successfully sting the suspect vehicle bringing the pursuit to a safe stop and the driver was quickly dealt with by our Roads Policing Team.
